Many people equate a stroke with death. In my mystery novel Everything is Inevitable, Kathy Wells, with the aid of her son Sam, overcomes this affliction to successfully launch a new career as a private investigator.
Everything is Inevitable follows the two as they investigate their first murder case. The bodies of Pete and Vera Morgan are recovered after a flash flood. She drowned, but he was poisoned: apparently, by Vera, which will void his life insurance. The Morgan children hire the Wells to prove Vera's innocence, and secure the insurance settlement. Kathy's recovery is tested, as is Sam's patience.
